This log home was named after the Kootenai Indians who used to call this area of northwest Montana and North Idaho their home. We are happy to report that a tribe of Kootenai Indians lives on their own reservation on the banks of the Kootenai near Bonners Ferry, Idaho . As far as we are concerned, they were badly mistreated and they deserve our friendship going forward. |
