The first Black Forest log cabin was built in Bonners Ferry, Idaho in the setting of a stand of hemlock and cedar trees, inspiring the name . Also helping to inspire that name was our Amish craftsman heritage, some of which traces back to the Black Forest region of southwest Germany .
